Office 2019 For Windows 8

This applies to all types of Windows 7, Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, Ultimate, K, N and VL etc. There are some exceptions. Windows 7 running with Office 365 ProPlus will continue to get security updates, see below. Some other large organizations might contract with Microsoft to continue supplying security patches.
Microsoft Office 2016 2012 Build 6. One of the best office suites out there, which packs a large number of features to help you expres.

The following versions of Office have been fully tested and are supported on Windows 10. They will still be installed on your computer after the upgrade to Windows 10 is complete. Office 365 (Version 16) Office 2019 (Version 16) Office 2016 (Version 16) Office 2013 (Version 15). Each of these versions is compatible with a later version of itself. For instance, you can open and work on a document created with ms word 2013 on ms word 2016. Furthermore, you can save your files in Rich Text Format, which is compatible across all the versions.

SOLIDWORKS and eDrawings require a GPU for optimal performance in a virtualized environment. SolidWorks has tested and certified graphics cards for virtualized environments. SOLIDWORKS Composer is not supported in virtualized environments.

Antivirus Products

Guidelines to help ensure SOLIDWORKS installation success and optimal runtime performance
Use a trusted antivirus product. Keep your antivirus product updated to the latest version. Stay updated with the latest antivirus definition/signature file (This defines the known current vulnerabilities and exemptions). To ensure optimum performance, it is not recommended to install antivirus software on the SOLIDWORKS PDM vault server. Consider creating exemptions for SOLIDWORKS file types and folder locations to improve SOLIDWORKS file based runtime performance such as File Open/Save/Save As and PDM Vault Checkin/Checkout. If you encounter install or runtime errors or warnings from your antivirus product, first check the SOLIDWORKS Knowledge Base for known issues or contact your SOLIDWORKS reseller.

Notes:

End Of Support (EOS) corresponds to the last SOLIDWORKS release where a Microsoft product is supported (This is synchronized with the Microsoft Mainstream Support End Date). SOLIDWORKS releases after the EOS are not supported for the said Microsoft product and SOLIDWORKS installation is blocked in the case of an operating system.
SOLIDWORKS Product Support Lifecycle defines the End Of Support for SOLIDWORKS versions.
SolidWorks recommends using the latest Microsoft update of Windows, Office and Internet Explorer.
SolidWorks supports each Windows 10 release for applicable SOLIDWORKS releases as long as it is still covered by both the SOLIDWORKS Product Support Lifecycle and Microsoft Windows Lifecycle Fact Sheet.
SolidWorks recommends using a Windows Server operating system for all SOLIDWORKS server-based products. Refer to the Microsoft Windows Server documentation to select the Windows Server edition that meets your needs.
Windows Home Editions and Windows To Go are not supported.
Apple Mac ® based machines running Windows using Boot Camp are not supported.
SOLIDWORKS 2018 on Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 requires the Microsoft April 2014 update
It is not recommended to install any instances of other applications on the SOLIDWORKS PDM Archive or Database Server. For PDM Professional, it is recommended the Archive and Database servers are two separate, dedicated machines.
SolidWorks does not test or certify VPN (Virtual Private Network) solutions but provides best-effort support. Users may be directed to work directly with their VPN provider to resolve issues on a case-by-case basis.

Before we talk about the Office 2019 System Requirements, let me first clarify what you get with this release.

Office 2019 is now available on a preview for commercial customers for both Windows and Mac. We do not have a lot of information available on the release dates yet since we are still away from the final release of the product. We expect the version to debut sometime in the latter half of 2018, subject to change. So, how does it differ from a traditional O365 subscription? Well, if you are an existing Office 365 ProPlus customer, you should already be on the latest version of the Office build. Office 2019, on the other hand, is a one-time purchase which gives you access to the 32-bit & 64-bit Windows desktop applications. So, in essence, Office 2019 is a perpetual upgrade to Office 2016.

This release of Office 2019 is ideal for disconnected PCs and Laptops which are not connected to the internet or are installed in a corporate environment.

Office 2019 System Requirements

At the time of writing this post, we do not have much information on specific details. So, we will keep this post as a placeholder, before we get concrete official information on the Microsoft Website.

What we heard is that neither Windows 7 or 8.1 are supported. The rumor is that Office 2019 will only be expected to run on Windows 10. The following Windows 10 editions are expected to run Office 2019.
